Thailand time zone

Thailand uses Indochina Time (ICT), UTC+7, in every part of the country, from Bangkok and Chiang Mai to Phuket and Koh Samui. The IANA zone is Asia/Bangkok. Thailand has kept UTC+7 since 1920 and does not use daylight saving time.

Thai dates also use a different year. The Buddhist Era (BE) is 543 years ahead of the Western count, so 2026 is BE 2569, and a date written 1/10/2569 means 1 October 2026. Official documents, newspapers and many receipts use it. The Thai year has started on 1 January since 1941.
