Privacy
datetime.uk uses Google Analytics to count visits. The tools themselves run in your browser, and what you type into them is never sent to us.
This notice is published by datetime.uk, the editor of this website, contactable at [email protected].
What happens in your browser
The clocks, timers, calendars and calculators run entirely on your own device. Dates you type into the date calculator or days between dates, and times you set on the timer, are not sent anywhere. The only third-party script is Google Analytics, described below.
A few tools may remember your last settings, such as a timer length, in your browser's local storage. That stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to see which pages people use and how they find the site, so we know what to improve. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_KETP6XVWVE) that tell repeat visits apart, normally kept for up to two years. Google receives the page address, the referring page, your browser and device type, an approximate location, and the cookie identifier. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use Analytics to identify you, and we run no advertising.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Every tool on the site works without them. Google explains how it uses the data in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
What Cloudflare, our host, records
datetime.uk is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare's servers process standard request information: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. Cloudflare keeps these logs for a limited period under its own privacy policy. We do not use them to identify or track visitors.
If you email us at [email protected], we use your message and address only to reply and to fix the problem you report. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Changes
If we change how data is collected, for example by adding advertising, this page will be updated first. Questions about privacy can go to [email protected].
